HI Animesh,

I received an email from somebody called Ankit who told me that the transaction was indeed a failure and asked me to try again. Just wanted to let you know that the payment gateway is still not working. I am losing patience here, please let me know if this indeed is a problem that cannot be rectified and I will arrange to get my photobook printed elsewhere.

Thanks,
Radhika

Hi Radhika

We're really sorry about the bad experience, CCAvenue has been acting particularly flaky since the past couple of weeks. Apparently they've been undergoing some upgrades.

We'll be getting back to you on email.

HI,

I have attempted about 6 times to get my order of a photobook fulfilled since last 2 days. 4 times out of that, the cc avenue website never reached my bank's payment gateway. It just got stuck after I click submit on the billing details page. Twice when it did manage to go thru to the HDFC site, the payment did not make it thru and I got a transaction failed message when there is no reason for that to happen frm the banks side.
I have mailed CC avenue in vain but no response. I really wanted to send a baby photobook to the grandparents by next week but have already lost 2 days in this mess. I am now wishing that I had gone to some other photobook printing website, the only thing that had stopped me from doing so last 2 days was the fact that I had spent some time uploading snaps and creating that photobook on iTasveer.
As a last resort am publishing my complaint here (have also sent an email). My email id is mentioned here and one of the failed order number is 76492TI175922 .

Thanks,
Radhika

Your calculation is off by an order of magnitude though :) It was actually a little over 1TB, where average image size was just above 1 MB. Although the storage requirements are more than just that as we keep multiple resolutions of each image and we also maintain backups.

Hey Mehul,

You're a little (an year) late to congratulate and we're actually way past a million images :D. And yeah it sure is a challenge and we're gearing up for bigger ones.

Appreciate your good wishes.

Leaving all the serious discussions behind, just want to congratulate you all!

1 million pics is HUGE.. even in terms of storage. ( to be conservative, if each image is .5 MB, then 1 million times .5MB turns out to be a pretty large number as well.. is it 5 TB?)

Hi Swati, the silver mug is Rs. 399/-. Additionally, there would 12.5% Tax and Rs. 45 shipping.

You can see the product details here: http://www.itasveer.com/prodSilverMug.do

Hi Suman,

Apologies for the inconvenience. But as explained in our emails, this is a step that had to be taken to make the experience better for everybody. We did take appropriate precautions by informing everybody about the change and allowing a month before we took the old designs off the site.

I can see from our records that you had created two mugs and a calendar. We can't bring them back now (not because we don't have a backup but because the system used to display them is not online anymore). Please give the new doodlepad a spin. A lot of content is still the same as earlier and you still have your photos. I'm sure you can top the design that you last created. :)
